| ISOLATED HALF-BRIDGE GATE DRIVERS WITH ANALOG DEVICES’ iCOUPLER® DIGITAL ISOLATOR TECHNOLOGY DELIVER INDUSTRY-BEST SPEED AND REL Analog Devices’ ADuM3223 and ADuM4223 are a better alternative to optocoupler-based gate drivers, with 4X faster timing and 50-year operating life. | 2 July 2012 |
| NXP Enhances GPS Signal Reception with Extraordinarily Tiny LNAs BGU8006 low-noise amplifiers in revolutionary 0.65 x 0.44 x 0.2-mm package offer extremely low noise figure of 0.60 dB | 2 July 2012 |
| 36V, 5A µModule Regulator Protects Input Supplies from Linear Technology announces the LTM8026, a 36V input, 5A step-down µModule® regulator with an adjustable and precise (+/-10%) accurate current limit. The current limit enables designers to set the maximum amount of power drawn from the supply, preventing input voltage droop caused by overcurrent conditions. When multiple LTM8026 are configured with the outputs tied together, each converter can be programmed with a unique maximum current limit to meet its specific input supply limitations for greater output power, a technique known as asymmetric power sharing. | 2 July 2012 |
| Sierra Wireless reaches agreement to acquire Sagemcom M2M Sierra Wireless enters exclusivity agreement for acquisition of Sagemcom’s M2M business, further extending its leadership positionin the growing Machine-to-Machine marketSierra Wireless (NASDAQ: SWIR) (TSX: SW) announced it has entered into an exclusivity agreement for the acquisition of Sagemcom’s machine-to-machine (M2M) business. Sierra Wireless has submitted a binding offer to acquire substantially all of the assets of the business for €44.9 million in cash consideration plus assumed liabilities. | 2 July 2012 |
| Bourns Introduces High Voltage GDT Products Bourns is pleased to announce the release of four new series of High Voltage Gas Discharge Tubes (GDTs). The new GDT series target industrial applications requiring high DC breakdown voltages. The 2-electrode GDT devices are offered with DC breakdown voltages ranging from 800-6000 volts. The new series are offered in miniature surface mount, miniature axial and standard axial leaded packages. | 2 July 2012 |
| Novel Current-Sharing, Diode-OR Controller Eases Linear Technology Corporation introduces the LTC4370, a first-of-its-kind current-sharing controller with reverse current blocking. The LTC4370 frees the designer from the limitations and complications of existing current-sharing methods to obtain a simpler, quicker, and space-saving solution for sharing between two supplies. Its supply-agnostic feature lends the design more flexibility and a longer lifetime. By incorporating diode behavior, the controller prevents one supply failure from bringing down the entire system. | 2 July 2012 |
| TI class-D audio amplifiers provide industry-leading supply range, switching rates Devices enable high quality audio performance at very low power consumption | 2 July 2012 |
| Flexible NCN49597 utilizes ARM Cortex processor and innovative features to enhance communication robustness and versatility for ON Semiconductor has introduced a new power line carrier (PLC) modem system-on-chip (SoC) for use in applications such as e-metering, home automation, solar energy and lighting control. The first device in a new family of PLC modems, the NCN49597 combines a low power 32-bit ARM Cortex M0 processor with a high-precision analog front end. Based on a dual 4800-baud S-FSK (Spread Frequency Shift Keying) channel technology, it has been optimized for power efficiency and performance, while providing excellent robustness and reliability to enable operation in the harshest environments. | 2 July 2012 |
