Low capacitance steering diodes are integrated with a TVS diode
The SP4042 Series TVS Diode Array from Littelfuse are designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from damage due to lightning-induced surge events and electrostatic discharges (ESD). The SP4042 Series integrates low capacitance steering diodes with a TVS diode to provide two channels of protection.
This robust device can safely absorb up to 120A per IEC61000-4-5 (tP= 2/10μs) without performance degradation and a minimum ±30kV ESD per IEC61000-4-2 international standard. Low loading capacitance (11pF per line) makes the SP4042 Series ideal for protecting 10/100/1000 Ethernet interfaces, Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), Carrier Class Equipment, and PBX systems. Typical applications include protection for 10/100/1000 Ethernet interfaces, Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), Carrier Class Equipment, and PBX systems.
Excellent surge protection Peak pulse power: 2500W
Low capacitance of 11pF per line
Promotes high ESD immunity and superior protection: ESD, IEC 61000-4-2, ±30kV contact, ±30kV air discharge; EFT, IEC 61000-4-4, 40A (5/50ns); lightning, IEC 61000-4-5 2nd edit, 120A (tP=2/10μs)
Low leakage current: VR of 0.1μA at 3.3V
Littelfuse TVS Diode Arrays provide robust protection from electrical threats defined by regulatory standards
Preserves signal integrity and minimizes data loss while offering a more robust device against electrical threats
Permits manufacturers to achieve ESD protection beyond the maximum level stated in the IEC standard and protects against a multitude of other threats to ensure product reliability in the field
